Remi Tiger outfit

April Summed Up

April was an incredibly awesome month in SO many ways. I was just thinking back about everything that happened this month. To avoid making this a million pages, I'm going bullet-list style:

  • I went to my first concert at Sphere in Vegas. It was INCREDIBLE. I probably should do a separate post on this alone, as my mind was SO blown. I saw an artist I didn't know much about prior to going - Illenium - and even though it wasn't somebody I worshipped prior to the concert, it was just insane. The music, the visuals... photos and videos do not do it justice. Just bite the bullet of the cost and experience this place for yourself. It is truly mindblowing. I get emotional flashbacks listening to Illenium now.

  • Reid stayed for an extra night in Vegas while I celebrated Easter with the girls and we went to the Hoppers movie - super cute!

  • Remi had her first dance recital and it was SO freaking cute. They danced to Roar by Katy Perry with these adorable tiger costumes. Just too freaking cute.

  • I had not ONE but TWO subsequent nights out with one of my besties as we went to the Bluebird Music Fest in Boulder. We went a bit hard and late the first night so I felt very much my age with the horrendous hangover the next day. Why do we do this to ourselves? However, totally worth it as it was sooo much fun in the moment, and that's what life is all about. :) We saw lots of amazing performers... Shakey Graves, Monrovia, Ocie Elliott, Erin Rae, Chaparelle, Gregory Alan Isakov. Live music is just so good for my soul. It was also my first time at Macky Auditorium in Boulder, which is a beautiful place!

  • I had the girls on my own for a weekend while Reid enjoyed THREE nights of Phish at Sphere in Vegas. We certainly had our rough points with a sassy 5-year-old BUT we also had an amazing time. I hosted our first sleepover in YEARS. We had one 2-3 years ago but the girls were definitely too young and it was not super awesome. This time it was AWESOME. The girls did a lot of sand art, talking, gymnastics, and ate basically nothing nutritious, so basically what I remember sleepovers being all about.

  • I hosted a Reframe to Rise workshop. I still have a lot of practice I need in doing workshop events but every rep counts and overall I think it went well.

  • Last, but certainly not least, I went to my first hip-hop dance class. My worst fear came true... I was the only person there... and not only was it a private dance class it was TWO instructors for me. I nearly begged to just leave and have them cancel the class but they insisted we proceed. Man, I SUCK... but I can get better with practice (there's that mindset work in action).

Overall, busy and successful, fun month. May is looking to be super busy but we'll see how that all goes.
